Tax relief on permanent hiring of young people up to 35 years of age, tax credit on 50% of training costs, South bonus, 5G auctions are - together with the cancellation of the raised VAT and excise duties - among the main measures of the budget of 20 billion euros that the Council of Ministers approves this afternoon after meeting the trade unions in the morning.

But let's see in particular the substance of the 2018 Budget Law conceived by the Government:

DECONTRIBUTION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE– The contribution relief to encourage permanent hiring of young people up to the age of 35 will be 50% but may rise to 100% for 3 years for hiring with increasing protection (i.e. according to the provisions of the Jobs Act) of students who have completed a period of "on the job" training alternating school-work or apprenticeship with the same employer.

TAX CREDIT FOR TRAINING – A tax credit of 4.0% is provided for training expenses linked to the Enterprise 50 plan with a spending ceiling of 1 million euros.

COMPANY RESTRUCTURING – The outplacement process for workers involved in corporate restructuring will be brought forward and will become available during the period of extraordinary redundancy fund, with 50% contribution relief for the company that hires workers in Cigs.

PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT – More funds (1,7 billion euros) for the renewal of state contracts but with the unknown factor, which will be resolved in one way or another only in the meeting of the Council of Ministers this afternoon, of the armoring method that save the 80 euro bonus from the effects of payroll increases.

SOUTH BONUS – The 2018 Budget Law includes the replication of the concessions for the hiring of workers in the South and a 150 million southern company fund to encourage private investment in southern SMEs.

AUCTION FOR 5G AND INCENTIVES FOR SCRAPPING OLD TVS – The maneuver also provides for an auction on the new television frequencies for mobile broadband combined with 100 million in incentives for the weakest families to scrap old televisions and buy new ones.
