This is the inscription imprinted on one of the folders seized by the Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza in the office of Francesco Belsito, now the former treasurer of the Northern League, investigated by three prosecutors. And it is not difficult to imagine which family it is. The hypothesis of the investigators is that those documents contain the evidence of the presents given by Belsito to the house of the supreme leader, Umberto Bossi. Electoral reimbursements diverted to renovate the Gemonio villa - historic property of the Senatùr - or to pay for the big cars on which the young son Renzo whizzes by. After a few too many problems at school, it seems that today the Trout consoles himself by wandering around the "Padania" on an Audi Q7, or alternatively on a BMW X5. Two SUVs. “Like everyone, I pay the lease”, Renzo defended himself yesterday.
Then there is some light to be shed Rosa Mauro and on his little house in Sardinia. A house that appears in the records as the headquarters of Sinpa, the Northern League union directed by Mrs. Rosy, who admitted in a low profile: "It's just my house...". Another small arc of the magic circle crumbling.
On this basis, many of the green shirts expect (or explicitly ask) the resignation of father Bossi. But he, at least for the moment, doesn't want to think about it: "Today I decide the appointment of the new administrative secretary of the League – he told his followers, as if to underline that no other important news will arrive in the next few hours -, the federal council is meeting for this”.
However, the appointment of the new treasurer – who will have the thankless task of clarifying the accounts of the party – will not be enough to restore peace to the Northern League people. The gray areas are too many. And after yesterday's dramatic political secretariat, the grassroots are demanding ever more insistently that the federal congress be convened. An appointment that has been missing for too long in the Po valley (exactly 10 years) and which would probably spell the political end of the Senatùr and his offspring.
The privileged ones of the magic circle know this very well and try to get around the problem. But now the showdown is near: the day of truth will probably be April 10, when the base will meet "spontaneously" in some Lombard town. They will ask for the congress, with all that that entails.
