The positive effect of Qe held back by Greece and US rates

The positive effect of Qe held back by Greece and US rates

The first time of Qe did not excite the stock markets, focused on the new difficulties of the Greece dossier and on concerns about a rise in US interest rates.

La Milan Stock Exchange is in any case in positive territory after a declining start, the FtseMib index rises by 0,24% to 22.490. Paris (-0,67%), Frankfurt (-0,21%) and Madrid (-0,47%) remain down. London is worse -0,70%.

The first operations of purchase of government bonds launched by the ECB and the national central banks of the Eurozone, as part of the 'quantitative easing' plan, according to Bloomberg, concerned sovereign bonds of Germany, Italy, Belgium and France. The ten-year BTP trades at 1,30%, the spread remains below 100 points.

 Highlight the oil. Eni advances +0,4% in view of next Thursday's board of directors. Ubs has raised its recommendation from neutral to buy: the target price goes from 16,5 to 19 euros. In great evidence Saipem + 4% after Bloomberg rumors according to which Gazprom payments continue after the halt to the South Stream project. The Russian company is said to be paying the largest contractor in the operation, Saipem, the costs of two vessels leased to build the pipeline, even if they are currently inactive.

Sale between insurance companies Generali share +0,6% in the wake of rumors about a possible increase in the coupon.

 Il banking sector report of Goldman Sachs has given wings to popular banks. Banca Popolare Milano rises by 3,2%, Pop.Emilia +3,4%: both promoted to Buy.Positive also Monte Paschi +2,1%: Goldman Sachs raised the target price to 0,62 euro from 0,52 euro, the recommendation is Neutral. Positive signs also for Unicredit +0,4% and Intesa +0,7%.
 
Enel drops by 0,2%. Among the utilities Atlantia +0,8% after the results announced on Friday: a dividend of 0,8 euros per share will be proposed to the shareholders' meeting, up from 0,745 euros in 2013. 

Telecom Italia falls by 1,4%, Mediaset -0,8%. 

Among industrial stocks, Fiat Chrysler down 0,3%, Pirelli -1,2%. Cnh Industrial -0,8% was also weak.
