There is no peace for the Brussels agenda. Yet another last-minute rethink has postponed the Ecofin summit on the calendar for tomorrow. This was officially confirmed by the Polish presidency of the EU.
The 27 eurozone finance ministers could meet on Thursday or Fridayì. In less than 24 hours, on the other hand, the political leaders of the euro area will meet, who will meet again just three days after the last European Council, concluded on Sunday evening.
Crucial issues remain on the table such as the plan for the reduction of the Greek debt, the recapitalization of European banks and the strengthening of the State-saving Fund (EFSF). Predictably, the postponement of the Ecofin has transmitted a signal of uncertainty to the markets and just under an hour after the closing, all the main stock exchanges in the Old Continent accelerated downwards: Milan lost 1,13%, Frankfurt 0% and London 74%. The black jersey for the moment belongs to Paris, in negative territory of 0,97%.
