One thing is certain: however they go to Naples on Tuesday evening, Juventus will remain first in the standings. This premise does justice to the feat accomplished last night by a Juventus corsair like never before. They won't be beautiful to see these black and whites, especially if they wear that shocking pink shirt that just doesn't convince us, but they have courage and heart to spare. To these two elements, which are essential if you want to win something, you have to add some top quality players and a gritty and prepared coach, and this explains the Juventus standings. After the victory in Rome, the points are 25 with one game to recover, and the positive numbers don't end there: after 13 matchdays (of which 11 played) the bianconeri are the only ones still unbeaten, and legitimize their supremacy with absolute victories prestige (beats in order Milan, Inter and Lazio). But what I like most about this Juventus is the ability to grit your teeth in difficult moments. Last night, at times, Lazio raised the pace in an impressive way, but Conte's men responded blow for blow, raging at the best moment of their opponents. And so, a few seconds after a great save by Buffon on Rocchi, Pepe's goal arrived, the result of a masterful counterattack action. Curious that two Roman players have entered the Juventus network such as Vucinic (author of the launch for Matri) and Pepe (raised in the yellow and red nursery). In the second half, when Lazio tried everything, Juve resisted and, once the Biancoceleste charge was over, they repeatedly came close to scoring the 2-0. It would have been too much for a Lazio applause anyway, but Juventus' success is certainly deserved, there's no doubt about that. It's a shame that Reja abandons his usual aplomb to recriminate a penalty: given that Barzagli's hand touch seems anything but voluntary, reducing a game to one episode certainly does the Friulian coach no credit. Not even the time to file away the match in Rome that for Juve it's already time to think about Naples. The Azzurri (fresh from a tiring last-second draw in Bergamo) will play the remaining chances of the Scudetto against the Bianconeri. It is therefore logical to expect a fiery San Paolo, but this Juve has no reason to be afraid. In fact, the bianconeri can only gain from the away match in Naples: in case of victory, it would be a flight to the title, while if things go wrong, the standings will smile anyway. But don't tell Antonio Conte, someone who always wants to win, even in training: “I'm begging since we're still unbeaten, now we have a probative away match like Naples, we'll test the team's pulse. On the other hand we are only in the eleventh game but I'm happy because we are beyond the expectations I had at the beginning of the season”.
We close with a consideration: some time ago Antonio Conte had asked his team to return to being unpleasant, as per the Juventus tradition. On Tuesday evening, all of Italy against Juventus will cheer for Naples, otherwise Juventus will flee towards the Scudetto. Here is another goal achieved by the insatiable Conte.
