Serie A report cards: after Inter and Milan, Roma are also unlocked, but Juve and Lazio get stuck

A goal by Osvaldo unlocks Roma and saves Luis Enrique's bench. It is the weekend of the first time for Milan, Inter and Roma. Juve, Lazio and Udinese, on the other hand, do not go beyond the draw. But Conte's and Guidolin's team are at the top of the standings in a very uncertain championship after the awakening of the big ones. The second round of the Champions League this week

ROME IS ALSO UNLOCKED!
AGAINST PARMA LUIS ENRIQUE FINDS VICTORY AND SOME SERENITY.

VOTE: 6,5

The weekend of the first times (or rather, of the first victories) ended with the success of Roma on the Parma field. At the Tardini the Giallorossi finally managed to take three points, which doesn't erase the game problems but at least let them breathe, which is certainly not a trivial detail. To see goals in clusters we will have to wait a little more time, at least according to what Luis Enrique and Thomas DiBenedetto tell us, but in the meantime Roma are enjoying the tactical progress and above all the success signed by Osvaldo. The former Espanyol unlocked a mangy match, scoring the second consecutive goal, which will allow him to silence (at least for a while) the controversial Giallorossi ether, who had already branded him a "bin". However, the full sufficiency that we give to Roma goes beyond victory, which is still fundamental. Luis Enrique's boys moved better, along the lines of the match against Inter, but compared to that evening we saw something more in the offensive phase. Totti has made himself very dangerous twice, and these days it's news, Osvaldo, in addition to scoring a goal, came close to another, and Pjanic seems to be increasingly inserted into Luis Enrique's schemes. The defense was more "dancer", where apart from an amazing Heinze, there was too much confusion. Summing up though, Roma come out of the Tardini with a smile, for a game that is slowly taking off and for a victory that boosts morale and rankings. Because despite the many problems of this start to the season, the giallorossi are only 3 points from the top.

JUVE STILL JAMS!
THE BIANCONERI ONLY RECEIVE A DRAW IN CATANIA.

VOTE: 5,5

How perspectives and judgments change in a week! Last Sunday, we were here to celebrate Juventus' away victory over Siena, now, thanks to the midweek round, we have to comment on the brusque braking of the black and whites. Conte's team is still unbeaten, but the two consecutive draws against two "small" teams such as Bologna and Catania certainly curb enthusiasm. And if Juve have once again shown that they never give up, some concern comes from the first half, where Conte's boys have definitely taken the wrong approach. Of course, even the Juventus coach put some of his own into it, leaving the overflowing Pepe on the bench at the start of the season for the evanescent Elia (decidedly negative debut for the Dutchman). A soft first half that of Juventus, and so no one was surprised when Bergessio bagged the ball for the rossoazzurro advantage. On the other hand, the reaction in the second half was good (imagine Conte's screams in the interval), even if it is fair to underline how Krasic's equalizer (another two-sided game for the Serbian) came above all for a duck from Andujar. Afterwards the goals came, from both sides, demonstrating that Juve is much more registered in the offensive department than in the backlog. In short, on balance a fair draw, which shouldn't create excessive alarmism, also because, if it's true that the Bianconeri are struggling to win, it's equally true that they're still unbeaten. But if Juve wanted to take the escape route, the goal failed, or at least postponed.

LAZIO, THE OLIMPICO SYNDROME CONTINUES.
AGAINST PALERMO IT FINISHED ZERO TO ZERO BETWEEN THE BOOSES OF THE FANS.

VOTE: 5,5

It ended 0 to 0, with the usual boos from Lazio fans to coach Reja. This, as you well know, is nothing new, as are Lazio's hardships within friendly walls. Let's be clear, a draw against Palermo is not to be thrown away, but the Biancocelesti once again demonstrate that they suffer when they have to play the game. Because Devis Mangia is not Delio Rossi, therefore (at least until Zamparini gets fed up) we must always expect a more shrewd Palermo, especially far from Barbera. Reja played it out, but the rosanero were good at resisting and restarting, even risking leaving the Olimpico with full loot. Beyond the sentences of circumstance of Lotito and Reja, the domestic problem is there, and how if there is, and the numbers (which never lie) tell us that of the 5 points collected by Lazio, only 1 arrived in Rome, in addition to the draw against Vaslui (not exactly positive result). Why? Tactical problems (it's one thing to quit and start again like at San Siro against Milan, another is to attack from the first minute) and environmental ones. We've been repeating this since this summer, when Lazio were acclaimed and successful in friendlies but were booed by their fans, making it difficult to continue. The facts prove it, and if Reja has even gone so far as to threaten his resignation, it must mean something. Lazio are a good team, but far from perfect (none are). To achieve great goals, he will absolutely need his people. Who at the moment is too busy whistling Reja to realize it.
