The Stock Exchanges rebound but Piazza Affari is the best

Piazza Affari rebounds, closing in the pink jersey up 1,19% to 20,376 points. The purchases reward insurance companies, industrialists, utilities and banks. The latter encouraged by a sharply declining spread, although volumes are thin pending the outcome of the European vote. The rate of the 10-year BTP drops to 2,55% and the differential with the Bund falls to 266.90 basis points (-3,19%).

The ending of the other European lists is also in green: Frankfurt +0,53%; Paris +0,67%; Madrid +0,69%. London gains 0,65%, on the day of the announcement of Theresa May's resignation, which are for now the only certainty in the difficult path of Brexit. In pole position for the succession is the former secretary of foreign affairs and former mayor of the British capital Boris Johnson.

The European stock exchanges recovered some ground in the last session of the week, supported by the optimism triggered by Donald Trump's openings during the night to a possible trade agreement with China which also includes the Huawei case. Even Wall Street seems to believe it, although it has slowed down after a toned-down start. On the other hand, oil is unable to raise its head and after the crash on the eve, it is slightly back in the red: Wti 57,8 dollars a barrel (-0,19%). Brent is at 67,67% dollars a barrel (-0,13%).

Flat gold at 1283,8 dollars an ounce. On the currency front, the euro recovers 1,112 against the dollar, with the greenback falling from a two-year high against a basket of the six major currencies, in a market that increasingly believes in the possibility of a US rate cut after weak data on durable goods orders, a further sign of a slowdown in manufacturing and the economy in general, partly due to the trade war with China. The weakness of the dollar helps the pound as it moves away from the lows of 4 months.

In Piazza Affari the best big cap today is Unipol, +4,16% thanks to the positive assessments of Kepler Cheuvreux. In evidence Unipolsai +2,83% and A2a +2,84%. Good for Generali, +2,01%, which announced the sale of a life insurance portfolio in the United Kingdom and improved its debt targets for 2020. The purchases reward Cnh, +2,83%, following the purchase program of treasury shares and Trump's announcement of incentives for farmers which will encourage the replacement of vehicles. Among the banks, Ubi +2,72% and Unicredit +2,31% stand out. Juventus toned down +2,01%, still in the spotlight for the new coach.

Loss of Amplifon stake -2,94%; Tenaris -1,21%; Telecom -0,95%; Diasorin -0,77%; Prysmian -0,61%: Stm -0,47%. Outside the main basket, Safilo appreciated, +5,79%, which sold the Solstice store network in the United States.
