Wall Street banks give the euro zone stocks a boost, which closed positive albeit below the day's highs. The positive trail of bonds also continues, despite the concerns about the Italian public debt and government action, also expressed today on the occasion of the work of the International Monetary Fund.

The yield of the 10-year BTP is 2,54%, while the spread with the Bund falls to 247.90 basis points (-2,56%). In the area of ​​the single currency, however, reforms need to be accelerated, warns the president of the ECB Mario Draghi from Washington and above all the "countries where the debt is high must continue to replenish" budget provisions. Especially since "global headwinds continue to weigh on growth in the euro area". 

A warning that does not hurt the spring climate in Frankfurt +0,51%; Paris +0,31%; Madrid +0,29%. Outside the Eurozone: London +0,21%; in red Zurich -0,62%.

New York is currently moving firmly in positive territory, with the Dow, S&P and Nasdaq. The quarterly results of JpMorgan Chase (+4,3%) clearly exceeded expectations and prompted the start-up markets. The numbers are also favorable for Wells Fargo, which however is now in the red (-3,12%). In the spotlight Disney (+9,6%), which soars to an all-time high, thanks to the announcement that its streaming service, starting November 12 worldwide, will be cheaper than Netflix (-3,7%). An important agreement in the energy sector also contributes to livening up trade: Chevron (-5,1%) will take over Anadarko Petroleum (+33,46%) for about 33 billion dollars, in cash and shares.

Meanwhile the oil race restarts, with Brent reaching 71,58 +1,06%. Gold, on the other hand, is flat, in the area of ​​1292 dollars an ounce. On the currency front, the euro strengthened against the dollar to 1,132.

Banks are therefore major protagonists in Piazza Affari, above all with Unicredit +4,2% and Banco Bpm +4,33%, which has issued Additional Tier 1 instruments for an amount equal to 300 million euro. Well Ubi +3,34%, in day of the assembly, with earnings forecasts growing. The CEO, Victor Massiah also does not rule out any options in terms of aggregation, including Mps (-1,4%) and Banco Bpm, even if at the moment “there are no open dossiers”.

Sprint in the automotive sector with Pirelli, +3,94%. Fiat shines +2,19%, after words to the assembly chairman John Elkann and CEO, Mike Manley. The first confirmed the family's commitment to the group and underlined that the company has never been so strong, while the CEO defined himself as confident on the 2019 targets. Ferrari runs +0,99%. The Juve star does not set at the Agnelli house: +3,6%. Sales on utilities: Hera -1,61% and Italgas -1,18%. Telecom still down -1,4%. Negative Amplifon -1,35%.
