Lazio-Juve is already a big match: bianconeri without Higuain

Allegri starts with Higuain on the bench and has to give up Bonucci and perhaps Pjanic while Lazio, supercharged by the success in Bergamo, hopes to take advantage of the incomplete athletic condition of the black and whites and the home fans at the Olimpico

Lazio-Juve is already a big match: bianconeri without Higuain

Under whose turn it is. Juventus champions of Italy (and super favorites also for this Scudetto) visits the surprising Lazio of Simone Inzaghi, in what will be the first advance of the second day of the championship (18 pm). Difficult match to read, partly because we are in August (athletic condition becomes a significant discriminating factor), partly due to the indecipherability of the hosts, capable of at least creating problems for the Lady.

“It won't be an easy match – Massimiliano Allegri's analysis. – They got off to a good start, plus it will be hot and this can have an impact. They have a well-built team that will fight for the top six positions, a lot will be decided on the restarts. We respect them but obviously we want to win.” The Juventus coach does not trust the praise of the press and fans, who are almost unanimously convinced that Juve must play in a separate championship. The Lazio trap, however, is around the corner, especially as the athletic condition of the Italian champions is far from top.

The Biancocelesti, for their part, know they have little to lose and a lot to gain: in fact, no one would turn up their noses in the face of a defeat (provided it was dignified), vice versa a positive result would unleash praise and enthusiasm, just as happened after the daring 4 -3 from Bergamo. “We know we have to play the perfect match – explained Simone Inzaghi. – We will also have to hope that they are not at their best, otherwise there would be little we can do. It rarely happens that Juve concede something but we will try to do our best."

Allegri, still awaiting the latest transfer market shots (Marotta and Paratici are at work for Cuadrado and for a midfielder who may not be Matuidi), will have to give up on Bonucci (personal problems) and seems oriented towards leaving Higuain on the bench, whose full athletic recovery should only come after the break. The Juventus 3-5-2 will see Buffon in goal, Barzagli, Benatia and Chiellini in defense, Lichtsteiner, Pjanic, Khedira, Asamoah and Alex Sandro in midfield, Mandzukic and Dybala in attack.

Inzaghi, on the other hand, will be able to count on the entire squad (except for Keita, now separated at home) and will respond with the following 3-4-3: Marchetti in goal, De Vrij, Radu and Basta in the back, Bastos, Parolo, Biglia and Lukaku in the midfield, Felipe Anderson (fresh from Olympic gold), Immobile and Lulic in the offensive trident.
