In January, in the United States, companies created more jobs than expected, while the unemployment rate rose slightly from the previous month, when it was at its lowest level since June 2008.

In detail, they were created last month 257 thousand jobs, more than the 237 expected from the average of analysts' estimates. This was reported by the Washington Labor Department, specifying that the unemployment rate it rose to 5,7% from 5,6% in December. In this case, the figure disappointed analysts, who on average had expected a decline to 5,5%.

After yesterday's closing on the upside, stocks are pointing upwards again on Wall Street in the last session of the week. Investors are scrutinizing the US jobs report, seeking guidance on what decisions the Federal Reserve will make on the cost of borrowing.
