Lavoro, Renzi: "In Italy there are the same rules as the rest of the EU"

“It is not possible that in Italy there are rules on the labor market different from those of other European countries”. To say it is Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, speaking on the sidelines of the opening to traffic of the A35-Brebemi motorway: "Italian entrepreneurs must be able to count on rules similar to those enjoyed by their colleagues in Germany, in particular on the subject of training that works there".

For Renzi, Italians must change the way they see themselves: "We are not only the country of good food, but we are the country of women and men who know how to do their job well". To do this, however, it will be necessary to introduce a new mentality, especially as regards public administration: "Managers will be rewarded if they do well, sent home if they do badly".

As for the reforms, according to the prime minister, "There are no obstacles that can stop us". “With the secret vote in the Senate – Renzi explained – they will be able to play tricks, but then we will go back to the Chamber and we will settle it. At the end of this journey, Italy will be put back in a position to race again. If constitutional and institutional reforms are not implemented, there will be no credibility to touch on other issues".

Finally, Renzi announced an operation on infrastructures: “We can put in place an operation on infrastructures which as early as September can release 43 billion euros. Money pumped into the Italian economy only with the removal of obstacles”.
