Many new arrivals for the Italian army of VAT numbers. Labor reform which will soon arrive in Parliament provides that the INPS contribution rate will rise progressively for workers enrolled in the separate management: in 2013 it will be 28%, to then gradually reach 33% in 2018.
Another innovation will mainly affect companies, but they have been granted a discount. In essence, the fundamental goal of government is cut off false VAT numbers, those that mask employment relationships.
If it can be demonstrated that the worker has been employed for more than six months in a year, receiving more than 75% of his revenues from the same company and having a fixed workstation, then the transformation of the contract into a subordinate collaboration will automatically take place. However, this rule will not be valid immediately, but only after a year from the entry into force of the reform. This is a concession from the Government to the requests of the entrepreneurs.
On the other hand, neither companies nor workers have much hope of obtaining new corrections to the text during the parliamentary process. The President of the Council Mario Monti he does not rule out asking for confidence in the labor market bill. “The vote of confidence can be useful – said the professor -, it would not be an exceptional tool, we have used it on other occasions”.
