Work, Inps: +90 permanent jobs in 8 months

Renzi on Twitter: “More hires (over 90 thousand), more stabilizations (over 300 thousand). The Jobs act brings more rights and more work”

Work, Inps: +90 permanent jobs in 8 months

According to the INPS observatory on precariousness, in the first eight months of the year 1.164.866 open-ended contracts were opened in the private sector, 319 more than in the same period of 2014. However, contract terminations also increased (1.073.203) and therefore the net balance is positive by around 90 thousand contracts. Furthermore, for the first time in eight months, activations exceed terminations. Finally, the figure for the transformation of fixed-term contracts - or apprentices - to permanent contracts must be added to the calculation of the growth of stable contracts: +331 thousand.

The data from the Observatory also reveal that the distribution of new employment relationships by qualification shows, in the period under review in 2015 compared to 2014, an increase in the share of manual workers, which rose from 2.363.223 in 2014 to 2.585.421 in 2015, as well as the share of white collar workers, from 741.051 in 2014 to 845.632 in 2015. Full-time work has also increased compared to part-time: new full-time employment relationships have gone from 2.037.229 in the first eight months of 2014 to 2.272.113 .2015 in XNUMX.

Permanent hirings established with the use of the exemption from contributions are mostly concentrated in southern Italy, where 160.112 activated employment contracts have taken advantage of the exemption from contributions.

According to Matteo Renzi, the INPS data on work show that the Jobs act works: “More hires (over 90 thousand), more stabilizations (over 300 thousand). The Jobs act brings more rights and more work,” wrote the Premier on Twitter.
