Labour, Confindustria: "The reform does not satisfy us, more could have been done"

The criticisms of the social partners to the labor reform by Elsa Fornero - Confindustria do not subside: "If it has to be approved, it better be with heavy commitment on the points that do not satisfy us".

Labour, Confindustria: "The reform does not satisfy us, more could have been done"

The labor reform "doesn't satisfy us, we could have done more and better".

La Confindustria, heard in the Labor Committee of the Chamber, reaffirms its position. “If it has to be approved, it is better if it is heavily committed to the points that don't satisfy us”, says Stefano Dolcetta, vice president of Confindustria, responsible for industrial relations, at the end of the hearing in the Labor commission in the Chamber.

The industrialists are therefore not satisfied with possible changes postponed to a monitoring phase, to which Minister Elsa Fornero referred. “We don't want to wait for the trial period, immediately after the approval that must be given for European reasons the discussion opens”, Dolcetta insists.

The points on which Confindustria wants adjustments concern "entry flexibility, exit difficulties, the lack of active policies" and on Aspi "we are not against the postponement" of the entry into force "given the economic situation".

Before the industrialists, it was the turn of Rete Imprese Italia to be listened to. And there was no shortage of observations from artisans, traders and merchants as well. Finger pointed at fixed-term contracts, apprenticeships, presumptive VAT indices, individual dismissals, resignations.

And the Regions also explained their amendment proposals to the commission: on training internships, apprenticeships, social safety nets, the right to work for the disabled, simplifications of procedures.
