Job turnover increased in 2017
The positive balance between hirings and terminations in the private sector consolidates.
The greatest contribution was given by fixed-term contracts and apprenticeships while permanent hiring decreased.
More temporary work to replace vouchers
Increased job turnover thanks to strong growth in the period between January and October 2017 with an increase of 20,5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Terminations also increased (+17,5%) but at a slower rate.
Hirings grew thanks to fixed-term contracts (+28%) and apprenticeships (+26,3%) while permanent hiring decreased (-3.7%).
There was also a marked increase in staffing contracts (+21,7%) and even more for call-in contracts which recorded an increase of 126,4%.
The increase in these types of contracts can be related to the need for companies to resort to instruments that can replace the vouchers canceled last March and replaced, for companies with fewer than 6 employees, by new contracts for occasional services .
