Hard work and retirement, March XNUMX is the deadline for benefits

It's next the first of March the deadline within which applications must be submitted to access pension benefits for those who perform strenuous work. Following the Fornero reforms, this category includes, for example, works in tunnels, quarries or mines, those carried out by divers, those carried out at high temperatures or in confined spaces, or still concerning the processing of hollow glass or asbestos ( the detailed list on the INPS website).

The categories mentioned, by submitting the application on time and within the terms of the law, are entitled to an early pension: from 1 to 4 years, based on the years of work performed in those categories, i.e. 1 year of work deducted for every 10 workedThe application can also be presented by workers of private and public employee management who have carried out these jobs and who attain the right to a retirement pension with the accumulation of contributions paid in one of the special managements of self-employed workers.

For employees of the Private Management, the applications and the relative documentation must be presented to the competent territorial structure of the Institute. Questions from members of the Public Employee Management must instead be transmitted exclusively electronically, using one of the following channels: the INPS portal, the Integrated Contact Center (on 803164, for free calls from fixed numbers, or on 06164164, for calls from mobile phones with charges to be paid by the user) eipathroned.

To those who will apply by 1 March 2015, without having completed the prescribed requirements yet, but in the conditions of being able to accrue them by 31 December 2015, the Institute, by 30 October 2015, will communicate the acceptance of the application with reserve. The effectiveness of the acceptance provision remains subject to the subsequent verification of completion of the requirements by 31 December 2015.

For pension payments to be paid to workers receiving the benefit the first effective date is fixed:
– after 12 months from the date of accrual of the requirements, for those who access the pension treatment at the expense of one of the managements of employees;
– after 18 months from the completion of the requirements, for workers who access the pension treatment under the special management of self-employed workers.

The submission of the application after the deadline of 1 March of the year in which the requirements accrue entails, in the event of a positive verification of the requirements, the deferment of the effective date of the early retirement treatment.
