Lapo Elkann to the aid of Ducati. The historic Italian motor company is going through a period of crisis and risks being sold abroad, but the scion of the Agnelli family could put a piece of it.
Lapo Elkann himself declared it in an interview with Panorama Icon: “I consider myself a great patriot and I would be very sorry if Ducati were sold abroad and ended up in bad hands. The managers made a steep economic request. What would I do if they lowered the demands? In that case, yes, I might really think about coming forward with an offer".
In the interview Lapo also talks about the "Ferrari Tailor Made", the personalization and "customization" project desired by Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, which meets the wishes of all redhead fanatics and which he is personally taking care of. Daughters of this workshop are the camouflage-colored 458 Italia and the “matte Scottish blue” 599 California. “I would like to underline this: military Ferrari is not part of the tailor made world – says Lapo Elkann -, but it is a little madness that I wanted to indulge in. It's simply Lapo's car. The 599 California, however, is the car of Lapo Elkann".
