Landi Renzo and Snam4Mobility: agreement for gas-powered cars

Landi renzoSnam4Mobility they signed a collaboration agreement to boost the sustainable mobility with compressed natural gas in Italy.

The initiative aims to make users aware of the advantages - both environmental (drastic reduction of CO2 and PM10 emissions) and economic (savings on fuel costs) - deriving from mobility at natural gas and biomethane. Landi Renzo will carry out the conversion to natural gas of the car models identified together with Snam4Mobility as more suitable. In fact, the conversion to natural gas represents an immediate solution with competitive costs to reduce the emissions CO2 and especially those pollutants.

To date, natural gas-powered cars in Italy are around 1 millionOver 1.380 service stations active. In total, Snam's investments in sustainable mobility powered by compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas amount to 100 million euros to 2023 ea 250 million for the construction of new biomethane plants.

Andrea Ricci, senior vice president of Snam4mobility, explained: “This agreement aims to enhance the Italian natural gas and biomethane mobility supply chain, leader in Europe, promoting further development of the market. Natural gas, also thanks to the growth of biomethane, is an immediately available and increasingly effective solution for tackling the problem of CO2 emissions from light and heavy transport and for improving air quality”.
