Signature wine and quality shopping: in over 40 boutiques in the center of Rome, from 19 to 24 October, many shops will remain open to organize entertainment and promotions; an extensive programme, which ranges from shopping to tastings to shopping assistant services in the points of sale up to meetings between professionals on strategic issues for the relaunch of the city.
It is the "Harvest of Rome" that lands in the capital after the harvest in the Milan fashion district. The desire to meet in the boutiques even with a toast will involve the streets of luxury in the historical center of the capital, via Condotti, the Spanish Steps, via Borgognona and via Bocca di Leone with over 50 brands and as many cellars.
It starts on the morning of 19 October at Palazzo Ferrajoli (Piazza Colonna 355) with the "Re-Start" Forum, to talk about new players and investment prospects in a city destined to undergo major changes over the next 10 years.
Among the speakers: Antonella Bertossi (Global Blue), Raffaele Pasquini (Aeroporti di Roma), Giulia Pessani (Class editori), Giuseppe Roscioli (Federalberghi), and Francesco Morabito (manager of MKTG, the company that organizes the event).
The forum is open to the public, upon accreditation to the e-mail address of the La Vendemmia secretariat segreteria@lavendemmiaroma.it.
Also on the 19th, but in the afternoon, the Wine Tasting will take place at Palazzo Ferrajoli which the Vendemmia dedicates to the DOC wines of Lazio with tastings and presentations of local excellence. About 30 of the most prestigious wineries in the reference wine sector will be present.
This will be followed, on 20 October, by the "vernissage" of the event, the Gala Cocktail of the Harvest in the courtyards of Palazzo della Porta Negroni Caffarelli. Given the concomitance of the grape harvest with the Film Fest, the "seventh art" will be honored by focusing on the binomial wine - cinema. The actress and wine producer Violante Placido will welcome guests with wines from the Placido-Volpone cellar. Among the guests, the heads of companies from the fashion world, personalities from the world of cinema, entrepreneurs and wine producers.
You enter the heart of the event with tastings at the boutiques on the 21st evening, the "Harvest Thursday". As per tradition, the extraordinary opening of the shops will take place with cocktails (by invitation from the individual brands and the organizers) and the shopping experience, when the Spanish Steps will light up in red (the map and the pairings are attached between wines and boutiques).
“Today, true luxury is not identified solely with the object to be owned – explains Andrea Amoruso Manzari, creator and organizer of the event – but with the history and emotions that it manages to convey. La Vendemmia wants to give continuity, security and support to the retail world also for other events based on this type of relationship with the consumer.”
It continues on the 22nd and 23rd, when the boutiques will offer VIP card holders some special services, including a welcome drink, a dedicated Sales Assistant, delivery of purchases to your address, and the extraordinary opening exclusively on request.
Grand Finale on the 22nd at Palazzo Ferrajoli, where the Wine Tasting that the Vendemmia dedicates to its historic oenological partner, the Gran Cru d'Italia Committee, will take place, with tastings from the 50 most prestigious wineries on the Italian scene.
Sensitive to the issues of sustainability and the well-being of the planet, the protagonists of La Vendemmia have this year wanted the WWF at their side as Charity Partner of the event.
At the heart of this project is the Macchiagrande Reserve: 280 hectares of land, within the State Natural Reserve of the Roman Coast, is one of the most significant sites for the protection and conservation of the coastal environment.
An area characterized by Mediterranean maquis behind the dunes and one of the most beautiful and preserved Mediterranean woods on the Lazio coast where holm oak predominates. Among the animals present: fallow deer, porcupine, fox, badger, barn owl, tawny owl, scops owl and owl, Hermann's tortoise and numerous species of aquatic birds that usually frequent the reclamation canals.
