Will Maurice Molinari the new director of La Stampa in place of Mario Calabresi who on 14 January will take over the reins of Repubblica, leaving after 6 years the direction of the Agnelli family newspaper: he had been appointed in 2009 in place of Giulio Anselmi.
John Elkann's chosen one for the leadership of the newspaper which has its headquarters in Turin is the current one correspondent from Jerusalem for the Middle East, with office also in Ramallah, in the Palestinian territories in the West Bank. Previously Molinari, born in 1964 in Rome, was a correspondent for the United States and the European Union for a long time. In 2015 he published for Rizzoli "The Caliphate of Terror - Why the Islamic State threatens the West".
