When there are very few days left to the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, which closed the season of communist ideology, a book by Giuseppe Vacca and Gianluca Fiocco celebrates the figure of the Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev, advocate of perestroika and great protagonist of the change in international politics of those years.
The title of the volume is “Gorbachev's Challenge – War and Peace in the Global Era” (Salerno editor, Rome 2019) and the presentation is organized in collaboration with the publisher and the Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia, which also hosts it in the Sala Igea of Palazzo Mattei in Paganica, in Rome (piazza della Enciclopedia Italiana, 7 November 17,30 pm).
Also participating in the event as speakers Carlo Calenda, Gianni Cuperlo, Giordana Pulcini, Saverio Ricci, in addition of course to the two authors.
