The school starts again between saliva tests and green passes

Today we return to the benches in 9 Regions and an Autonomous Province - Saliva tests will start at the end of the month - The platform for checking green passes makes its debut today

The school starts again between saliva tests and green passes

La school starts again. Today, 13 September, around 4 million Italian students are returning to school in nine regions and one autonomous province: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Lombardy, Piedmont, Umbria, Veneto, Valle D'Aosta and Trento. Also this year the boys will have to wear the mask, but compared to the recent past there is something new: two-seater benches are allowed again.

SALIVARY TESTS

The anti-contagion measures, in fact, have been refined in recent months. To stem the inevitable increase in infections associated with the resumption of face-to-face lessons and immediately track down any asymptomatic outbreaks, some regional administrations are gearing up to make sample tests. The first swabs could be made by the end of the month, and then continue on a fortnightly basis.

Tests will also be salivaries, given that from 23 September this type of analysis will be approved for traditional swabs and will give the right to the green pass. The protocol has been ready for a few days: Veneto, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna are just waiting for all the material to arrive. Other Regions will follow shortly. The project plans to analyze by the end of the school year 450 pupils out of the 4,2 million who belong to the age group 6 14-years.

THE SPECTRUM OF THE RETURN IN DAD

As for the specter of a possible return to Dad, the Minister of Education, Patrizio Bianchi, has said several times that he wants to avoid generalized solutions. Online lessons will only be able to return in a limited and temporary manner, in the event of a single class being quarantined.

THE GREEN PASS FOR TEACHERS, ATA AND PARENTS

The biggest unknown is linked to the mandatory green pass for teachers and ATA staff, which has already led a union, the Anief, to call a strike for today.

Under the new rules, then, too parents entering institutions they are required to have the green pass and violators must be fined by the principals. A rigid rule, which, however, seems really difficult to apply.

The only help for managers will be the online platform for the control of green passes, which makes its debut today but is still in the running-in phase.
