Scotland has no intention of giving up. Edinburgh is not resigned to the result of the referendum of 23 June which decreed the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union and promises battle: "We will do everything to stay in the European Union". These are the words spoken today by the Scottish Premier Nicola Sturgeon, during an emergency session of her Parliament convened to appease the fear of the Scots after Brexit.
"We, unlike Great Britain, have chosen to remain", said Sturgeon, recalling that 62% of Scots voted for "Remain". “For this reason – he added – my government and I will take steps to ensure that our nation does not leave the EU”.
The Prime Minister also announced his intention to create a commission of experts, in charge of examining the possible ways that allow Edinburgh not to follow London on the road to Brexit.
Sturgeon assured: "We will not go back, I guarantee you that we will use every possibility to make this happen".
