Juve is worth over 1 billion: more than Inter and Milan combined

Among the top ten clubs that are worth more in Europe there is only one Italian team, Juventus, which has exceeded one billion euros: Milan, Inter, Rome and Naples in the top-20.

In 2016, it amounted to 29,9 billion euros, up by +14% on the previous year, the aggregate enterprise value of the top 32 European football clubs analyzed by Kpmg in the second edition of 'Football Club's Valuation'. The three clubs with the highest value – in order Manchester United (over 3 billion euros), Real Madrid (2,9 billion) and Barcelona (2,7 billion) – represent about a third of the total value of the 32 clubs analysed.

Among the top ten most valuable clubs in Europe there is only one Italian team: Juventus, which recorded a 24% increase in company value. from 983 million to 1,2 billion euros. It should also be noted that the value of the Juventus club is higher than the sum of those of Milan (547 million), Inter (429 million) and Lazio (227 million).

In the overall standings, the Italian teams have dropped to 6 against 7 last year: Juventus (stable in ninth place), Milan (15th place), Rome (18th), Inter (19th), Naples (20th) and Lazio (29th), while Fiorentina, present in the last edition, dropped out of the ranking. In particular, Milan remains stable in 15th position, with an enterprise value practically unchanged (547 million compared to 545 million in the previous year). Roma advance by overcoming both Inter and Napoli and reaching 18th position thanks to a much higher growth than the other teams (+17% against +7% for Inter and +4% for Napoli). Lazio drops from 23rd to 29th position, due to a 2% drop in its enterprise value.
