Juve never stops: twelfth consecutive victory against Sampdoria (4-2)

Next. Juventus also beat Sampdoria, thus giving themselves the twelfth consecutive victory in the league, the second best streak ever in the history of our Serie A (the absolute record is Mancini's Inter in 2006/07 who reached 17). A success that allows the Lady to postpone Roma to – 8, after they had come close by beating Livorno. The 4-2 final, however, shouldn't make us think of a stroll: Juve suffered from the beautiful Sampdoria of Mihajlovic, really good at restoring the shine to a team that, some time ago, even seemed at risk of relegation.

The blucerchiati managed to hit the Italian champions on several occasions, scoring two goals, hitting three woodworks (two crossbars and a post) and forcing Buffon to make at least two spectacular saves. Not bad really, also because Juve was definitely in the evening. Watching the first quarter of an hour is believing, when Conte's men crushed Sampdoria in their own trocar with the fury of great occasions.

And in the 18th minute, as a logical consequence of their domination, the bianconeri took the lead with Vidal, delightful in closing in an ingenious ball from Pogba with his right wing. Juve sated? Not a chance. Six minutes later, the Lady also found a double from Llorente, a real area ram from Tevez's corner. The Apache then came close to 3-0 by hitting a post with a sure shot, after which Sampdoria woke up. First a post chipped by Gabbiadini, then the goal that reopened the game, albeit thanks to the unfortunate deflection by Barzagli.

But before the break, Juve put things back in order: a foul by Regini on Vidal, a penalty and a goal by the Chilean himself, already on 10 points in the league. The second half, however, was by no means a formality. A beautiful Sampdoria first came close to making it 3-2 with De Silvestri (Buffon's miracle on his close header), then found it with Gabbiadini, good at taking advantage of the tap-in after another save by the Juventus goalkeeper.

And when a few minutes later Manolo himself (half Juventus player for that matter) made the crossbar of the Stadium tremble, someone from Rome and Naples really began to believe in the enterprise. The usual Pogba took care of silencing everyone, with one of his shots from distance that punctually slip under the intersection. The 4-2 final is thus worth the eighteenth victory in twenty games, but also the awareness that the championship is not over yet. If Juve keep it in mind they will win it, otherwise they could also run into some nasty surprises. A danger that, however, does not seem to exist, at least for now.
