Furious Juve goes to war against the FIGC over the Conte case and cries of conspiracy

Now it's official: war has (re) broken out between Juventus and the FIGC! A year after the dispute relating to Calciopoli (still ongoing), the Old Lady and the Italian football control body are once again at loggerheads. This time, however, the stakes are higher, because at stake is not the past, but the future of Juventus. The story is known and mainly concerns Antonio Conte. The Juventus coach, investigated for failure to report, had already reached an agreement with the Federal Prosecutor (in the person of Stefano Palazzi) to negotiate a 3-month disqualification sentence, with a maxi fine (200 thousand euros) attached. However, the FIGC Disciplinary Commission took care of breaking the bank, which considered the punishment "not appropriate" to the crime committed. Sensational decision, which led the Public Prosecutor's Office to ask for a much harsher penalty: a year and 3 months of disqualification for Conte and his deputy Alessio.

The position statement of Andrea Agnelli was dry and immediate: “I note that the Italian Football Federation and its sports justice continue to operate outside any logic of law and substantial correctness. For a long time and with a great sense of responsibility, Juventus and its members have maintained a serene and coherent attitude with respect to the institutions and with respect to attitudes which, right from the start, suggested that a new attack was underway against them and against their members. (….) Even having chosen, against all instincts of justice and with a logic of pure compromise, the path of plea bargaining in order to limit the damages of an old-fashioned and contradictory sporting justice, we collide with a dictatorial system that deprives the clubs and its members of any right to defense and integrity. The respectability of individuals is jeopardized and it is therefore up to them to have the final word on the decisions to be taken, with the awareness that Juventus will support them in all levels of judgement". A very harsh attack, in which the Juventus president essentially screams at the conspiracy and that triggered the immediate reply of the Federation: "The FIGC and its bodies operate correctly in full compliance with the statutory provisions which guarantee the independence and autonomy of the Sports Justice as governed by the National Sports Regulations: the assessments of the Juventus president, Andrea Agnelli, are not acceptable and go beyond a legitimate exercise of the right to criticize”. In short, a beautiful and good uproar, and the feeling is that the best is yet to come. Because if yesterday the debate relating to Conte and his staff ended, today and tomorrow it will be the turn of Bonucci and Pepe. The sentences should arrive on August 8 or 9, close to the Italian Super Cup, which will be played in Beijing on the 11th. But something tells us that the game will go completely into the background.

On the other hand, the transfer market is moving, which has seen a heavy blow at the exit. In fact, today Milos Krasic will become a Fenerbahce player, who has announced on his official website that he has reached an agreement with Juventus. The Serbian will arrive in Istanbul today to sign a 4-year contract. Felipe Melo, always the object of Galatasaray's desire, would also like to return to the Turkish city. There is no agreement between the two clubs yet, but contacts have become frenetic. Something is boiling in the pot, Juve wants to raise cash at all costs. Because then, regardless of sports justice, the assault on the top player will be given.
