Juve celebrates the Scudetto against Atalanta but after Allegri remains a puzzle

The Italian champions, between joy and sadness, celebrate the eighth consecutive championship and bid farewell to Allegri and Barzagli but the future remains in the fog and Atalanta, in the running for the Champions League, will not make any discounts.

Juve celebrates the Scudetto against Atalanta but after Allegri remains a puzzle

A party with a view to the future. Juventus is preparing to celebrate the Scudetto in front of its fans and, above all, to greet Massimiliano Allegri and Andrea Barzagli, great protagonists of these years of victories. And so the match with Atalanta (20.30 pm), in addition to deciding the Champions League race (there are at least three teams interested in the result in Turin), becomes an opportunity to bring the curtain down on one of the most successful decades in the history of club, even if, at least according to the majority of fans, less loved than many others. “In professional relationships we can be divided, it is a decision that I take with great serenity – commented Allegri. – We discussed and I put my opinion on the table, then the company made its choices. However, this doesn't change anything, my relations with the president and the management remain excellent".

“In Max I've found a true friend, it was the most painful decision since I've been here – confirmed Agnelli. – Beyond the written conspiracies, it is the past a month of analysis and reflections that led us to understand that the cycle was over. When you manage companies you need to know how to make the right decisions at the right time, then clearly only time will tell if I did well or not". The question everyone is asking, ça va sans dire, concerns the future: who will be the Juventus coach? Agnelli avoided answering, especially when Conte's name was mentioned, testifying that the deal, although still to be defined, is far from impossible. Nedved and Paratici are pushing for him, the president is a niche for the moment but awaits a confrontation that can clarify the situation: alternatively it is good to write down the name of Mihajlovic, another cue that has always been paid attention to at Juventus. In all of this there is also a game: for Juve it matters little or nothing, for Atalanta (and for all the contenders for the Champions League), on the other hand, it is simply decisive.

“We throw ourselves into the championship with all our strength, psychologically we emerged victorious from the Coppa Italia – explained Gasperini. – Playing at home to the Italian champions is always very difficult, especially as they will have a Scudetto to celebrate, but we are in full competitive trance and believe we can do it”. In short, on paper we will have a distracted Juve and an extremely combative Atalanta, but woe to forget the technical values, which, of course, see the hosts as vast favourites. Allegri, for his last match at the Stadium, will choose a 4-3-3 with Szczesny in goal, De Sciglio, Barzagli, Bonucci and Spinazzola in defense, Emre Can, Pjanic and Matuidi in midfield, Dybala, Kean and Ronaldo in attack. Classic 3-4-1-2 for Gasperini, who will respond with Gollini in goal, Mancini, Djimsiti and Masiello in the back, Hateboer, De Roon, Freuler and Castagne in the midfield, Gomez behind the offensive couple Ilicic-Zapata.
