Juve struggled but beat Lazio with another goal from Khedira

An excellent Lazio, very well registered in defense with De Vray and Lukaku, and a suffocating heat hold back the Italian champions, who still appeared rather packed, but in the second half the usual Khedira unlocks the result and gives the bianconeri three precious points with a narrow victory (0 to 1) but very important for the classification and for morale.

Juve was greatly affected by the absences of Bonucci and Pjanic and the use of Higuain only half-service but experience, patience and cynicism ended up proving them right.

The bianconeri held up well in defence, also because Lazio rarely made themselves dangerous but lacked imagination in midfield, where Lemina and Asamoah are more interditors than game builders, while forwards Dybala and Mandzukic weren't at their best. The difference was made once again by Khedira who, when he's well, is one of the best midfielders in Europe. Higuain came on in the last 20 minutes of the match but didn't affect much, while the debut of the young Croatian Pjaca was excellent, even if for a few minutes, who immediately showed uncommon qualities in a couple of cues.

Beyond the result, Simone Inzaghi can, in turn, be happy with his Lazio: the defense is a guarantee compared to the blunders of last championship, Biglia and Parolo, even if not yet at their best, dictate the times in midfield and in forward Immobile is a constant threat to opposing defences. However, Juve don't forgive and one chance is enough to get the result.
