Juve makes poker, stop at Napoli: counter-overtaking

The Italian champions erased the defeat against Inter by dominating Cagliari and winning 4-0 with goals from Rugani, Hihuain, Dani Alves and with Ceppitelli's own goal: only Dybala still dry – Napoli, who complain failure to grant two penalties, stops in Genoa at 0-0 and loses the leadership in the standings in favor of the bianconeri

Juve makes poker, stop at Napoli: counter-overtaking

The overtaking has served. The primacy of Napoli lasted just 4 days, forced to abdicate the throne again in favor of Juventus. In fact, the Azzurri did not go beyond a draw against Genoa while the Bianconeri buried Cagliari under a poker of goals. And so the Lady returns to her usual position, the one in which she can look down on everyone.

“I have great champions at my disposal, this team hardly misses more than one game – commented satisfied Massimiliano Allegri. – We managed to immediately give intensity and this made life difficult for Cagliari, the important thing however was to win and return to the top of the standings”. In short, mission accomplished. On the other hand, it was obvious that Juve wanted redemption even on the eve, especially after the criticisms that rained down on the environment following the defeat in Milan.

Rastelli's “poor” Cagliari paid the price, annihilated in less than a time under the black and white fury. Rugani took care of unlocking the match after just 14', then Higuain (33') and Dani Alves (39') closed the practice without too many worries. The 4-0 goal (83', own goal by Ceppitelli) only rounded off a result that was never in question, in perfect style with Juventus' home habits (and not only).

A decidedly more difficult evening for Sarri's Napoli, stopped in Marassi by a very good Genoa and a rather questionable refereeing by Rizzoli. In fact, the referee denied the Azzurri at least one penalty (not including Ocampos' hand ball) and huge doubts remain about the second (Orban's hold on Milik).

“It was a good game but the episodes penalized us – thundered Sarri. – I am sorry to say this because I sound like a coach who complains, the club should intervene because some rather eloquent things have happened. I will ask the president to do something, then he will decide the ways".

Beyond Rizzoli, however, the good show offered by the two teams on the field remains, always ready to face each other head-on with chances on both sides. Napoli had a few more, especially in the first half (Hamsik's crossbar was sensational) but ended up wasting too much (including Insigne's mistake in the second half), while Genoa came out at a distance and was only stopped by a great Reina, very good twice on the young Simeone (son of the Cholo).

The final result is devoid of goals but not spectacular: even if this time it's Juventus above all who enjoy it, once again masters of the championship.
