Juve are looking for the primacy of one night with Chievo

Winning and returning to the top of the championship, even if only for one night. Juventus goes to Verona (20.45 hours) with the aim of regaining the lead in the standings, in the hope that Bologna can then stop Napoli and complete the mission. For the opera to be successful, however, it is necessary to do one's duty first, therefore beating Maran's Chievo and then spending a Sunday in front of the TV. On paper, as almost always, Juve shouldn't have major problems: their quality is too superior compared to that of the Venetians, who have not won since the 2-1 win against Spal last November 25th. But the tired and packed team seen against Genoa doesn't authorize us to take anything for granted, especially with the semi-final of the Coppa Italia just around the corner (Tuesday in Bergamo) which will require a great deal of energy.

“We have to be careful, Chievo has lacked results lately but not performances – warned Allegri. – It's a team that is first in aerial duels in our league, they know how to make good use of set pieces and when they concede so many goals like against Lazio they usually know how to react best. We will need a good game on a mental level, we have only one result available to keep up with Napoli". A success at Bentegodi in reality, as previously mentioned, the momentary overtaking would even be worth it, any other result would instead have the bitter taste of a misstep. In short, the right mind is needed, it is no coincidence that Allegri spoke about it at a press conference, as if to send a warning to sailors. After all, everything has been talked about at Juve except Chievo: holding court were Buffon's statements, which brought back the memory to the times of the late Del Piero. “I'd like to play again but the solution will have to be found with the club – said the Juventus captain. – I have never liked forcing, I will soon meet President Agnelli and we will talk serenely”.

In short, no voluntary retirement, not even with the 40th birthday around the corner (tomorrow) and yet another game from the grandstand due to a calf still dancing. It's still too early to talk about the case, God forbid, but certainly Buffon's words held the scene and took over the whole scene. “The only thing he has to think about now is getting back on the pitch – commented Allegri. – In Bergamo he will return to being the owner, then it is normal that he is making some reflections but until June he will have to concentrate only on the pitch ”. Awaiting comments from the upper echelons of the company, it is therefore time to think about the match in Verona, which the coach will have to face without the usual DybalaCuadradoMarchisio and Howedes. Also at Bentegodi will be 4-3-3 with Szczesny in goal, De Sciglio, Benatia, Chiellini and Asamoah in defence, KhediraPjanic e Matuidi in midfield, Douglas Costa, Higuain e Mandzukic in attack. For their part, Chievo, back from last Sunday's beating against Lazio, will attempt the feat with the usual 4-3-1-2 with Sorrentino in goal, Cacciatore, Gamberini, Tomovic and Gobbi in the back department, BastienRadovanovitch e Hetemaj in the median, Birsah behind the offending pair Pellissier- Pucciarelli.
