Germany reacts to the crisis and starts growing again. In the third quarter German GDP recorded a 0,5% increase, up from the +0,3% recorded in the April-June period (data in turn revised upwards from the previous +0,1%). However, the result remains far from the dynamism of the beginning of the year (+1,3% in the first quarter).
Europe's driving force restarted above all thanks to household consumption - as explained by the national statistical office Destatis -, while foreign trade had an "almost negligible" effect. On an annual scale, according to CVS data, growth should reach + 2,6 %, but according to the forecasts of various economists, the fourth quarter will mark a new slowdown.
