“La gattara”: the new Sunday story on FIRST Arte

A slightly frightening fairy tale to make your skin feel the heat of July run a few shivers. The children of the city are disappearing and in their place there seems to be a boom in feline births and gatherings, cats lovingly cared for by a dear old lady who lives a few steps from home. That's what she's talking about “La gattara”, the last Sunday story published on FIRST Arte, in collaboration with the literary agency Thesis Contents and with the new publishing startup goWare. The author is Alessia Coppola, a writer and illustrator from Puglia. Born in 1984 in Brindisi, her ideal dimension is fantasy. She writes poems, fairy tales, gothic stories, children's stories. Among her poetry collections: Thoughts in the Wind (Kimerik Edizioni) and Canto di Te (Damiano Edizioni). From 2009 to today, she has actively collaborated with publishers, blogs, magazines, as a columnist and illustrator. Her latest publication, in 2019, is The Lighthouse Girl for Newton Compton.

ROME: A MURAL THAT IMPROVES THE ENVIRONMENT AND PURIFIES THE AIR

On this weekend's edition of FIRST Arte there is also another original story: that of Orticanoodles, a collective group of artists who present a work inspired by Michelangelo's famous “Tondo Doni”. Only in this case it is not a painting, but a a mural entitled “Anima Mundi – Tondo Doni”, created in the Talenti district in Rome with a special paint, called Airlite, capable of improving the environment and people's lives by purifying the air from 88,8% of the pollution present. The work is part of the "Urban Art Talenti" project, which brings together the passion for art, technology, respect for the environment, with the active involvement of young students and the desire to promote the Talenti district of Rome and his entire community.
