A goWare ebook a few months after the end of the Obama presidency: assessment of his controversial action - The judgment of Giulio Sapelli and that of Francesco Caudullo

The Obama doctrine and its consequences

On January 20, 2017, Barack Obama will leave the White House. His legacy is highly controversial: will he be remembered for being the first African-American president or for what he accomplished or for both? He will certainly be remembered for the "Obama Doctrine," his attempt to redefine the role of the United States in the world. This book presents the cornerstones of this policy clearly and concisely: in the first place, the shift of the center of gravity of American policy towards Asia and Africa, thanks to the energy independence achieved by the USA with shale gas, which cuts the umbilical cord with the Middle East and also with an increasingly troubled Europe. There are many who question the results of the Obama doctrine and among these Giulio Sapelli who in an essay reviews the international framework in which this policy finds its problematic application. A paper by Francesco Caudullo discusses the consequences of US foreign policy in the Mediterranean area. An hour of reading to understand what is happening around us. A good investment of your time.
