The Ronald Reagan Collection to be auctioned at Christie's New York

Next September, the private collection of President Ronald Reagan and his wife will be auctioned at Christie's New York. All proceeds will go to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
The auction includes furniture, decorative works of art, books, memorabilia, jewelry, paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints by President and Mrs. Reagan, sourced from their home in Los Angeles, California. The collection pays tribute to the style of William Haines, called "Hollywood Regency". The collection will be sold in a sequence of both live and online auctions. Lot estimates range from $1.000 to $50.000, with plans to build over $2 million in total.

"The generosity and foresight of the President and Mrs. Reagan will ensure that the Foundation, and the Presidential Library, can further their mission," said John Heubusch, executive director of the President Ronald Reagan Foundation.

The works can be viewed before summer 2016.
