Cassa Depositi e Prestiti is not interested in Edison

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti is not viewing any dossier for its possible entry into Edison's capital. This was announced by Giovanni Gorno Tempini, CEO of the Cassa.

After the lump sum of Intesa San Paolo, the CDP also excludes the possibility of an investment in the energy company. On October 31, the agreements that regulate Edison's governance will expire and Minister Romani is trying to set up an Italian consortium to prevent the production plants from ending up in French hands.

The dossier in question would also have ended up on the Acea table. The former municipal company, 51% controlled by the municipality of Rome and owned by Francesco Caltagirone and the French Edf/Suez, according to sources close to the dossier intercepted by Reuters, is ready to put 500 million euros into the field.

Edison is 61,3% controlled by Transalpina di Energia. In turn, Tde is controlled 50% by Edf and 50% by Delmi, a holding company of which A2A holds 51% and Iren 15%. As for Edipower, Edison controls 50%, A2A 20% and Iren 10%.
