Apple ready to launch iTV

It could be put on sale as early as this summer – This was reported by a well-known Asian IT magazine, which assures that the production of the components will already start at the beginning of 2012 – The new iTV would be a real high definition television and no longer a Set-top-box, capable only of adding functionality to the TV, like today's Apple TV.

Apple ready to launch iTV

When it comes to the news of the Apple of Cupertino, speculation is undermining everywhere. According to the well-known Taiwanese technology magazine, Digitimes.com, Apple is already assembling the necessary components to produce a new AppleTV and launch it on the market in the second or third quarter of 2012.

According to industry sources cited by the magazine, the new TV would be a real television, available in two versions of 32 and 37 inches. In short, no longer a simple set-top-box (Stb), like the one sold today. It could be called: "iTV".

In early 2012 the suppliers are expected to start the first stages of production: Samsung Electronics would be the chipmaker while Sharp would supply the displays. The iTV would therefore be a real High definition television.

A few days ago we read in the Wall Street Journal that Apple is in talks with some television broadcasters in view of the launch of a new Apple TV equipped with motion detectors or sound, able to allow control of the TV through gestures or voice. Fundamentally based on the offer of streaming TV programs, the service would allow access to content purchased from any Apple terminal, including iPhone or iPad – via iCloud.

All Apple fans, in addition to the iPad 3 and iPhone 5, will fire in 2012 also for the new iTV.
