On 26 October the personal collection of Mariuccia Mandelli, known as Krizia, will be auctioned. 399 lots will be auctioned, divided into two sessions from the designer's homes. It is a variegated set of objects collected over the years not so much for their value or preciousness but for the attractive momentum they exerted on her due to the colour, shape or materials that characterized them: Tiffany vases, Gallè glass, Lalique, Daum; silver objects of various kinds, furniture and design objects by Fornasetti, Le Corbousier, Tura; modern paintings by Paul Jouve, Scanavino, Pasotti, Todini and ceramic plates painted by Warhol and Basquiat.
The Mariuccia Mandelli house was the personality of Mariuccia Mandelli, her image reflected in everyday things, a journey into the concept of beauty of a great contemporary stylist.
His collections also reveal the designer's deep love for Nature: frogs, chameleons, turtles, snakes in many different materials, shapes and eras populated the tables, desks and shelves; another passion the proud panther, the feline elegance of the most mysterious of predators, source of inspiration for many creations, collected in different materials and supports, in a painting, in a statue, in ceramic... on a table, on a wall, around a corner until it becomes its symbol.
