Juve wins and extends to +7 but Napoli doesn't give up

Juve's victory (Dybala's hat-trick) over Benevento projects the Italian champions to more than 7 points ahead of Napoli who, however, have no intention of giving up and will try to close the gap today against Chievo

Juve wins and extends to +7 but Napoli doesn't give up

Victory has come and this is undoubtedly what matters most. But Benevento's Juventus showed a few too many cracks, almost as if CR7 and company had scratched the certainties of a wall that seemed very solid and which evidently has weak points instead. Napoli must cling to these, called to beat Chievo (15 pm) in order not to completely extinguish the Scudetto flame, now 7 points away and therefore decidedly faint. A success at the San Paolo would bring the gap back to a more acceptable 4 and then, waiting for the direct clash, it will be necessary to hope that the crunches of the Vigorito are not an end in themselves. Yes, because against the last in the standings Juventus suffered far more than they should and the 65 points difference appeared decidedly less.

Luckily for Allegri that Dybala, after Tuesday's hard match, is back in the championship version and therefore sparkling. The Argentine scored a hat-trick (two from a penalty and one with a beautiful left footed shot) and, on balance, he proved decisive in the final victory. In fact, in the middle there was an excellent Benevento, which confirmed that they are a respectable team regardless of the classification which, by now, sees them condemned to B. The Giallorossi scored two goals in Szczesny (two goals from Diabaté in the 24th minute and in the 51st minute) and blocked the Lady on the draw for a good 74 minutes. Then came the third overtaking and finally Douglas Costa's jewel to seal the final 2-4, much rounder than the match said. “This was difficult, it came after the blowout against Real – commented Allegri -. When things like this happen you have to react immediately and we did. I want to congratulate Benevento, they made life difficult for us but in the end we take the victory ”.

Napoli hoped for it, then had to sketch in the face of yet another Juventus success. Who knows if this will lead to some discouragement in view of the match against Chievo, certainly winning becomes absolutely essential in order not to say goodbye to the Scudetto dream. Sarri therefore has no choice but to take the 3 points and this regardless of the disqualifications of Albiol and Jorginho, which will deprive him of two very titular players. The blue 4-3-3 will thus see Reina in goal, Hysaj, Koulibaly, Chiriches and Mario Rui in defense, Allan, Diawara and Hamsik in midfield, Callejon, Mertens and Insigne in attack. Maran, reassured by the 4 points collected in the last two games, will respond with the usual 4-3-1-2 with Sorrentino between the posts, Tomovic, Bani, Gamberini and Gobbi in the back, Bastien, Radovanovic and Hetemaj in the middle, Jackets behind of the English-Meggiorini offensive duo.
