Juve: the victory with Barça is worth 100 million, the title flies

If tonight the bianconeri manage to avoid the remuntada of the Catalans, the sum that this Champions League will bring to the Lady's coffers will reach 97.2 million euros: a new record for the Lady.

Juve: the victory with Barça is worth 100 million, the title flies

Tonight at the Camp Nou it's not just about glory. Together with the pass for the Champions League semi-final, Juventus will take the field against Barcelona also to win a treasure that comes close to 100 million euros.

This figure – which, to be clear, is worth a Pogba or a Higuaìn – is arrived at by adding up various items. First of all, the simple passage of the round to the semifinal is worth 7,5 million (against the 6,5 for those who do not go beyond the quarterfinals).

This sum adds up to the money that Juve has already forfeited from this Champions League season: 12,7 million for simple participation in the tournament, another 7 for the results obtained in the group stage, 6 and 6,5 million respectively for qualifying for the round of XNUMX and quarter-finals.

So far the value of results in the field. However, the most succulent slice of the cake comes from the distribution of the "market pool": this is the river of money linked to television rights, which amounts to around 100 million for both Italian teams that participated in the 2016-2017 Champions League (in addition to Juve , Naples).

As reigning champion of Serie A, in the group stage the Lady collected 55% of the rights up for grabs (27,5 million) against 45% for Napoli (22,5 million). The second part of the "market pool", on the other hand, is calculated in relation to the number of matches played overall. Consequently, the further the bianconeri advance in the knockout phase, the more money will end up in the club's coffers: the quarter-finals are worth another 27 million, which would rise to around 5 in the event of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Summing up, up to now Juve has already secured 87,5 million from this ride in the Champions League and in the event of qualification against Barcelona they would put another 10 million in the farm (7,5 from the bonus for the semifinal plus another 2,25 for the market pool), which would bring the total bill to 97,2 million euro.

It would be an absolute record for the bianconeri, who could break the previous record of 89,1 million euros won in the 2014/15 season, when Allegri's team stopped against the blaugrana in the final.

If Juventus were to even win the competition, they would earn a total of 113,7 million euros, with Napoli having to settle for 65,7 million (against the 68,9 they would earn if their rivals were eliminated against Barcelona).

Meanwhile, the markets show that they appreciate. On the Star segment of Piazza Affari, Juve's stock gains 10 percent today, after the +15 percent already achieved yesterday. Since the beginning of the year, the progress of black and white shares has exceeded 120 percent.
