Juve, black jersey in the bag: here are his three thorns

He spent 150 million for the transfer campaign but the new ones are on the bench; Sarri has pneumonia and the new form is struggling to establish itself; Paratici is unable to sell the redundancies and this creates great uncertainty

Juve, black jersey in the bag: here are his three thorns

While Piazza Affari achieves the best performance in Europe, doubling the other continental stock exchanges, Juventus suffers and yields 3,9% at 1,521 euros, placing itself at the bottom of the main list.

Despite the positive debut in the league – the bianconeri won 1-0 away from home against Parma – the team's performance does not seem to have convinced fans and investors, who on the contrary seem to have found confirmation of the numerous doubts that have been emerging in recent weeks on the transfer market season which will end on 2 September and on the face that the new Juventus could have from next Monday.

The company has spent 150 million euros to reinforce itself in every sector of the field, almost half (72) for a champion of the caliber of De Ligt who, however, found no space in the first championship game, taking a seat on the bench together with all the other newcomers, from Danilo to Demiral and Rabiot ( used only for a few minutes in the final. It is difficult not to observe how a small paradox occurred during the 90 minutes played at the Tardini: those who were bought, and even at a high price, to play found themselves among the reserves, while some of the players who should have been sold are starting players with a leading role.

In short: either too much and badly spent or the Sarri module, unfortunately stopped by bad pneumonia, encounters more difficulty than expected in making inroads into Juve.

Another thorn in Juve's side regards departures. Or rather the non-departures. The redundancies are definitely too many, at least 7. There are still a few days left and the last word has not yet been said, but until today the bianconeri were unable to sell any of the outgoing players in June. From Perin to Rugani, passing through Emre Can, Matuidi, Mandzukic, Bentancur and Higuain. Not to mention Dybala, whose future still remains unknown even if his stay under the Mole appears more probable day by day.

The third problem, connected directly to the second, is the Champions League. At present they would be at least five players excluded from the list to be delivered to Uefa: Marko Pjaca, Mattia Perin, Daniele Rugani, Mario Mandzukic and Blaise Matuidi. A list that could create quite a few headaches for Maurizio Sarri who to date still does not know who to play and where.

In short, compared to last year, when the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo had made everyone dream, including investors from Piazza Affari, this year Juve's moves have not (for now) convinced and the first repercussions are beginning to be seen on the stock market.
