Tremendous blow for Allegri's bianconeri, defeated at home in full recovery by a goal on the counterattack by Sassuolo: goodbye to the dreams of the Scudetto, but the Champions League area is also far away – the smile returns to Inter, who conquers three important points Empoli

Juve ko: in the 95th minute the prank against Sassuolo. Inter takes Empoli

THEInter find the smile, Juve collapses. Wednesday in the championship showcases Inzaghi's team, victorious in Empoli with a 2-0 signed by D'Ambrosio and Dimarco, but also that of Allegri, sensationally defeated at home by Dionisi's Sassuolo. And so the nerazzurri remain in the wake of the first in the class, while the bianconeri collapse to seventh place, effectively leaving the championship fight and even putting at risk the qualification for the next Champions League. Both had only one result available, but only Inter managed to get it, at the end of a convincing performance, even if tarnished by a serious Referee Chiffi's mistake, which in the 31st minute, on the result of 0-0, did not give a rather evident penalty at Empoli for a foul by De Vrij on Bajrami.

It was the sliding door of the match, because 180 seconds later the Nerazzurri took the lead with a header from D'Ambrosio, putting the Tuscans in the uncomfortable situation of having to chase. In the second half, however, Inzaghi's team fully legitimized the success, also because Andreazzoli's remained in 10 for the (sacrosanct) expulsion of Ricci, author of a fallacy on Barella (52'). From then on it was all downhill for Inter, so much so that the second goal was nearly missed several times, before Marco's found him with an impossible to miss tap-in on an assist from Lautaro (67 '). The Nerazzurri thus regained victory after the defeat in Rome and the draw with Juve, moreover by resting some regular starters such as Dzeko and Skriniar.

“We did what had to be done, playing the way we had prepared ourselves: we were good at handling the ball and making our opponents run from side to side – the thought of Farris, who showed up in the press room in place of the suspended Inzaghi – We even managed to make some changes because in a few days we'll have another very important match before the Champions League, let's try to prevent the team from feeling tired by doing some rotations”.

For an Inter that smiles there is one Juve that foams anger, but only towards itself. There defeat against Sassuolo it brings the mind back to the one with Empoli, which means a very simple thing: the Allegri cure, more commonly defined as “Corto Muso”, is not enough. In fact, in the long run, winning 1-0 is not a viable path, because if the opponents score first, all the limits of a poorly constructed rose, especially between midfield and attack. The goal ache is now evident and any reference to Ronaldo is not purely coincidental; moreover, the midfield, when he has to build, not only fails to do so, but also ends up discovering the defense, with all the inevitable (and very heavy) consequences.

Sassuolo took the lead first thanks to a pocket by Fraternity (44'), then suffered the return of Juve, determined to do everything in order to come back, up to the equalizer by McKennie, author of a nice header on the development of a free kick by Dybala (76'). It seemed like the beginning of a comeback, but instead it was Sassuolo who enjoyed it again, this time in a definitive way, thanks to a counterattack in an open field that sent it into the net Maxime Lopez in full recovery (95 '). A mockery, which is worth a minus 13 from leaders AC Milan (and perhaps also from Napoli, if he manages to win against Bologna tonight), but also a worrying minus 4 from the Champions League area.

“That goal absolutely shouldn't have been conceded, more lucidity was needed – the disconsolate analysis by Allegri – We also had opportunities to score, but what shouldn't happen is the wrong management of the last minutes. The inertia was on our side, but we became neurotic and made too many individual plays, we are Juventus and we can't lose a game like this. We have to be realistic, we have to play in another way, because we have lost twice at home: one could be a coincidence, two not. We have to work on mistakes, on managing moments, this is not the time to talk about goals".

At this rate, however, the standings will have to be looked at, otherwise the risk is of realizing it when it's too late, perhaps even to think about the Champions League area, given that the others, at least for the moment, seem to be going much faster.
