Juve and Inter: the Higuain-Icardi exchange is not a fantasy market

The exchange between the two strikers is not close to being concluded and perhaps will never go through but the two players' entourages have started talking about it – If Icardi doesn't arrive, Juve will go on Morata, Chelsea allowing, while Inter are also Nainggolan - Ancelotti effect on Napoli - Two signings for Roma

Juve and Inter: the Higuain-Icardi exchange is not a fantasy market

No denial. The "bomb" dropped by Corriere della Sera on the Icardi-Higuain exchange (plus 50 million for Inter) met no resistance either on the black and white front or on the black and blue front, testifying that it is not a fantasy market but something possible, if not concrete. In fact, as the hours went by, what seemed to be just a suggestion gained credibility from all points of view, starting with the logical one.

Juve would buy a very high-profile "nueve" with a green age (25 years), Inter a top player in full maturity (31 years in December) and a nice nest egg (50 million, in fact) to invest for strengthen in other departments. And then, last but not least as the Americans would say, the two players would also be satisfied: Maurito would have the signing he wanted and a winning team, Gonzalo a new environment capable of giving him back that smile which, for some time this part, seems to have abandoned him.

Let's be clear: the deal is very far from being concluded, indeed to tell the truth it has never even been the subject of discussion between the two managements. However, the entourages of the players have spoken to each other and this, as we know, is often an excellent starting point. With these premises however, regardless of how it will end up between Inter and Juve, it seems very unlikely that Icardi and Higuain will continue to wear their current shirts.

The first is irritated (euphemism) for a contract renewal that doesn't arrive, the second has understood that he is no longer at the center of the project: Sarri's Chelsea watches at the window, ready to offer Morata (more money in the case of Mauro) for get to one of the two. Certainly that money would be useful for Inter: with Higuain the attack would be in place and the rest would help to get a playmaker (Rafinha's redemption or, alternatively, Nainggolan), a midfielder (Strootman) and an offensive winger (Politano, Verdi and Chiesa the three contenders).

Juve, on the other hand, does not necessarily need to cash in: the turnover allows them to make the market regardless. Of course, the great Milinkovic-Savic dream costs money, and how it costs. “100 million is not enough for him, in fact a year ago I refused 110 – thundered Lotito – When I hear about the Lazio supermarket I get angry, I don't know that I have ever put anyone up for sale”.

In reality, the Biancoceleste number one knows well how the Serbian is now on the starting foot, but he has no intention of giving discounts, much less to an Italian team. Inter and Juve are the protagonists but the others are certainly not watching either.

Napoli begins to see the Ancelotti effect on Hamsik and Mertens, two in the predicate of leaving and who now swear allegiance, Roma after the young playmaker Coric welcomes Marcano, a defender whose contract is expiring with Porto, Milan, waiting for UEFA's response, he approaches Badelj (since yesterday it's official that he won't renew with Fiorentina) and comes to terms with the Bacca case, for which Villarreal is asking for a considerable discount (8 million instead of the 15 agreed a year ago ).

And the appeal lacks news on the Cristiano Ronaldo front, who after the post-Champions declarations has no longer made known anything. Silence which, for those who have not understood it, certainly does not mean tranquillity…
