The US banking giant has announced its intention to cut 4 thousand jobs in the retail sector and another 13-15 thousand in the mortgage lending sector.

JP Morgan announces new cuts. In fact, the US banking giant intends to reduce its workforce by around 4 thousand units in the retail sector by 2014 and 13-15 thousand units in the mortgage lending sector over the next two years, thus bringing the cuts to the overall share of 16-19 thousand jobs.

This was said by Gordon Smith, general manager of the retail banking division.
