Jobs Act, Poletti: "Reform completed"

The Jobs Act comes to an end. The Council of Ministers has in fact approved the last four implementing decrees. “With the last 4 decrees approved today we have completed a reform process of great importance and in an extremely short time frame”, undersecretary Claudio De Vincenti specified in the press conference at the end of the CDM.

The council of ministers examined the 5 implementing decrees of the fiscal delegation, confirming "the texts issued by the CDM with the contribution of parliamentary observations which were very consistent". De Vincenti added that the texts are now returning "again to Parliament for one last step". The conclusion of the process is expected "in a couple of weeks".

Reform completed - "I express satisfaction with the conclusion of the labor reform" commented the Minister of Labour, Giuliano Poletti, speaking of an "important result". "We have put the permanent contract back at the center - the minister began at the press conference - and hundreds of thousands of precarious workers now have a stable contract". "We have also extended the social safety nets to 1,4 million workers previously without coverage, i.e. workers in the company with 5 to 15 employees".

Goodbye to blank resignations. The certification of the resignation request must be made "on a form that must be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Labour, if there is no dated and certified form, the resignation is not valid". Poletti announced at the end of the CDM. "For the remote controls we intervened on the art. 4 of the Workers' Statute with respect to privacy, filling a regulatory vacuum”, explained the minister. “Today we have a comprehensive regulation with two objectives at the centre: a clear and defined regulation and respect for privacy”. Finally the Naspi: the minister specified that the cover has been found to guarantee the stabilization of the Naspi for 24 months on a definitive basis.
