The presentation of the international development strategy of Jihua Group, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and 66,3% controlled by Xinxing Cathay International Group, was held today. The latter, a Chinese state-controlled company, has diversified businesses including, among others, metal smelting and processing, textile and garment industry, various assembly and manufacturing businesses, mineral resource development, commercial and logistics activities.

Jihua Group is engaged in the production of professional clothing and technical equipment for public security services, from army uniforms to astronaut suits. The company also operates in the production and sale of sportswear (it controls several brands and two brands dedicated to the outdoors, Jihua Outdoor and Jihua 1912), shoes and hats, dyeing and printing of fabrics, leather accessories, rubber products.

To achieve this goal, the Group has equipped itself with technological, process and managerial skills and has chosen to locate its research, development and design hub in Italy. In fact, Italy guarantees a know-how of absolute excellence deriving from refined and consolidated production processes and a long manufacturing tradition capable of expressing high quality products. In Italy, the Jihua International Center was therefore opened in Tavernerio (CO), and control of some companies in the Italian textile sector was acquired, such as Majocchi and Concerie del Chienti. Moreover, an Italian-Chinese brand has already been born from the collaboration with Italian companies, JH1912, which will be distributed in over 600 points of sale in China, 20 in the rest of the world and which has opened its first foreign flagship store in Italy, in Milan.

The Group's strategy therefore envisages that the business value chain starts from Italy, the heart of R&D and design, passes through production in China to reach markets all over the world. Since collaboration with Italy is of fundamental importance, an innovative partnership platform with the Jihua Group has also been defined in collaboration with ICD Italy China Development. The goal is to also offer small and medium-sized Made in Italy companies a unique opportunity to be present at low costs on the entire Chinese market alongside one of the main state-owned companies.

The press meeting was attended by Liu Mingzhong Chairman of Board XinXing Cathay International, Li Xuechen General Manager Jihua Group and Luca Bastagli Ferrari Jihua Park – CEO Arcoretail. Mr Liu presented the guidelines of the repositioning and internationalization strategy of the Group's activities which aims, through its subsidiary Jihua Group, to establish itself as an international player in the consumer market.

“Our partnership projects are part of the traditional good relations between our two countries, both from a historical-cultural point of view and, increasingly, from an industrial point of view, said President Liu who then added : "In Italy we are convinced that there are many opportunities for collaboration which, if pursued and developed, will allow all the parties involved to grow and be increasingly competitive on international markets".
