Jack Vettriano. How much is his work worth?

Jack Vettriano. How much is his work worth?

Jack Vettriano (1951) born and raised in Fife, Scotland, he became a mining engineer's apprentice after leaving school at just sixteen. He taught himself to paint in the 70s when his girlfriend bought him a set of watercolor paints as a XNUMXst birthday present. His first works were reproductions of several impressionist paintings, his first being Monet's Poppy Fields. He was self-taught and greatly influenced by observing the painting in the Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery located in an adjacent town.

When the Royal Scottish Academy held its annual exhibition, he featured two of his works which were instantly sold on the first day of the show. In his early years as an artist, he didn't have much, hence the need to be resourceful. He revealed that he used an artist reference manual titled The Illustrator Figure Reference Manual to form his figures of him. It was inspired by London-based Irish actress Orla Brady's pose for the woman in red in her painting, The Singing Butler.

Some of the famous collectors who are fans of his work are Counts Jack Nicholson, Sir Alex Fergusoon and Robbie Coltrane. He has also been able to publish several books; the most recent of hers was released in March 2008 under the title Studio Life. In the same year he was commissioned to paint a portrait of a knight and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, Zara Philips MBE as a fundraising mission in a charity event, Sport Relief. The portrait was called Olympia and was auctioned together with the works of Sir Peter Blake, Stella Vine and Gerald Scarfe.

His publishing company, Heartbreak Publishing, was founded in 2009 in hopes of supporting his works and other artists by allowing his supporters direct access. In March 2010 she decided to return to her roots in Fife and have an exhibition at Kirkcaldy Museum entitled Days Of Wine and Roses which had been visited by almost 48.000 people. Vettriano's works are truly iconic. He has received numerous awards such as the Great Scot of the Year which was presented to him at an awards ceremony at the Boisedale Club in London. The prize was awarded by Sir Jackie Stewart himself. He has faced several talented artists, namely Kristy Young, Sharleen Spiteri, Ian Rankin and Kenny Logan. This award paved the way for paintings by him to be exhibited in the National Galleries across Scotland, so that Scottish culture could become one with it. Vettriano's success in the art world proved that anyone is capable of achieving their dreams if they are determined enough. He started with only watercolor paintings and a hobby that blossomed into a national sensation; even crossing borders. She managed to make a name for herself with the use of her brush. She has not failed to contribute and give back to society a piece of the wealth she has acquired by making financial contributions to charities and foundations. Not only has he been successful in painting, but he has also been able to publish books and to this day continues to surpass what he has already accomplished. If there's one message his life conveys, it would be that when you dream, you dream big.

The interest in Vettriano sees an "exclusive and particular collecting" both for pictorial works and for reproductions such as prints that reach figures of around 500/1000 €. Unlike the oil paintings which in recent years vary according to the work placed on the market and the year of creation. There are works that have reached decidedly top lot quotations as reported in the article.

Investment value ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recently there hasn't been an evident auction passage of significant works, this may lead us to believe that the collecting interest in owning one of his works exceeds that for the sole purpose of revaluing the investment.
