Iveco Group e Hyundai Motor Company they tightened a agreement to provide a commercial vehicle completely lightweight electric intended for the European market. Based on Hyundai's global eLCV platform, the new vehicle will join Iveco's range of electric light commercial vehicles, including the Iveco Daily series. According to the contract, Hyundai will produce and supply the Iveco brand vehicle, while Iveco Group will manage its localization and exclusive distribution through its commercial network. The launching of the new product is expected at the Iaa Transportation fair in Hannover, Germany, from 16 at the 22 September 2024.
The collaboration between Hyundai Motor Company and Iveco Group, started in March 2022, has already led to tangible results in hydrogen commercial vehicles, such as the joint development of the eDaily hydrogen electric vehicle (with an electric motor powered by fuel cells) and the launch of the E-Way fuel cell electric city bus, produced in the Iveco Bus factories in Annonay (France) and Foggia. The agreement, explains a note, underlines the shared commitment of the two companies to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility and transport.
