Italy-Russia: internationalisation, districts and SMEs

From 23 to 26 October the XXI Session of the Italian-Russian task force on districts and SMEs, a bilateral forum for economic cooperation aimed at supporting Russia in spreading a private entrepreneurial climate, made up above all of SMEs and industrial districts/poles, on the model of the Italian ones.

The General Directorate for Internationalization policies , Exchange Promotion of the Ministry of Economic Development convened the "XXI Session of the Italian-Russian task force on collaboration for the development of SMEs and districts" (Marche Region, 23-26 October 2012).

The task force is a economic-institutional forum, in which the main Italian and Russian companies responsible for the development and internationalization of SMEs are called to participate, such as Regions, Trade Associations, Federations, Confederations, Consortia, Universities, Technological Poles, the Chamber of Commerce and the trade fair system. There presence of companies it is particularly desirable in cases of direct interest in investments in Russia and/or contacts already established with local counterparts in a negotiating framework led by institutional representatives of the two countries.

The work of the task force will focus on developing the collaboration of sectors subject to specific “Thematic Tables”: energies and technologies from traditional and alternative sources; consumer goods, mechanics, mechatronics, electromedical equipment, nano and biotechnologies; building, Wood, furniture e home automation; logistics. In addition, two are planned Seminars: "Financial instruments to support the internationalization of SMEs in reciprocal markets" e “Mutual promotion of the tourism sector”.

A particularly interesting moment was foreseen during the first day of work institutional-style matching (named "Open Space Networking"), intended for meetings between the Regions and their territorial promotion agencies, institutional bodies, trade associations and businesses of the two countries.

The Italian-Russian task force on districts and SMEs represents a bilateral forum for economic cooperation aimed at supporting the diffusion of a private entrepreneurial climate, made up above all of pmi and industrial districts/poles, on the model of the Italian ones. She is summoned every six months and the meetings are generally held in autumn in Italy and in spring in Russia. The meetings are from some sessions mainly focused on: innovative and technologically advanced sectors; collaboration local between business systems; investments of SMEs; financial support tools to support the economic-commercial partnership between the SMEs of the two countries.
