The meeting between the prime minister took place in Berlin at the Federal Chancellery Giorgia Meloni and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, for the first Italy-Germany intergovernmental summit since 2016 (when Renzi and Merkel were in command. The five points of the action plan
During the meeting Meloni and Scholz signed the Action plan for strengthen bilateral and European cooperation. The deal is divided into five articles:
- economy, innovation and social cohesion,
- climate, energy, environment,
- foreign policy, defense,
- European agenda, migration,
- contacts between civil societies and culture
The Plan completes the "triangulation" between Italy, Germany and France, without requiring parliamentary ratification, unlike the previous Treaties of Aachen and the Quirinale.

Meloni at the G20: “Italy is a bridge between Europe and Africa. If Russia wants peace, withdraw."
Meloni then participated with Chancellor Scholz at the “Virtual G20 Leaders Summit”. On the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the condemnation of the terrorist attack remains firm “ignoble and bloodthirsty” of 7 October but also the “Israel's right to self-defense” and the belief that in the future the solution to the conflict can only come through the creation of two states.
Among the other topics touched upon during the speech, Giorgia Meloni also wanted to talk about the relationship between Italy and Africa: "Italy is a candidate to become a bridge with Europe to promote mutually beneficial partnerships, supporting the energy security of African and Mediterranean nations and green energy exports to the rest of the Old Continent”.
