Italo and Alstom inaugurated today, on the tracks of Expo Ferroviaria 2017, the first of the twelve new “Italio Evo” clocks. Transport Minister Graziano Delrio was present at the event.

In two months, and therefore in December 2017, the first four trains will come into operation which will allow the company to increase frequencies on the current routes covered. In detail, there will be more trains going from Rome to Milan (and vice versa). On this route, connections will increase from 40 to 50, with an increase in non-stop numbers that will increase from 15 to 20, one train every half hour, while the daily services to/from Venice will double, rising from the current 8 to 16. With the arrival of the other 8 trains in 2018, new routes will be added, such as the Turin-Venice and further frequencies.

Italo Evo can travel at a speed of 250 km/h, is 187 meters long, consists of 7 carriages and will accommodate 480 passengers in the three Club, Prima and Smart environments.
